Tiny Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

Little tiny cupcakes for little tiny hands. I don't know what it is about these cute little ice cream cone cupcakes, but I love them! Vanilla cake with chocolate ganache frosting.

Mad Hatter Tea Party

I love making cakes for this girl! She has great ideas and let's me use my creativity to fill in the holes. It was my first "topsy turvy" cake attempt and was also the *very first* time I didn't cover a cake in fondant. What a trick that is! She is not a fan of the flavor of fondant so we did mostly buttercream with fondant details that could easily be removed. Vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream. Love it!

I Couldn't Resist....

...posting two more pictures of details from Lilly's Birthday Party! I made a tiny cake for my littlest brother, Sam, who couldn't be at the party, and I had to include a photo of all the balloons my dear husband blew up to decorate the ceiling. They were such a big hit with all the babies!

Our Sweet Baby is 1!

We celebrated Lilly Christine's 1st birthday yesterday with all of our family and friends. Even though she was feeling a little under the weather, her party was a hit and she had a great time! Is it any surprise that she *loves* cake? Hooray! She's officially been hired as Mommy's little sous chef. I had a blast making all the layers of her cake and I think she enjoyed it too! The first photo is of her little smash cake. Had she been feeling better, it might have gotten smashed, but the cute little cake still stands in tact in the fridge for when she is feeling better. Had to include photos that show the rainbow balloons and also her rainbow tutu. Thanks to everyone for helping us celebrate one of the best days of our life- the day Lilly was born!

Pens Jersey Birthday Cake

Jim, one of Brandon's best friends, asked if I could make a birthday cake for his Mom's 50th birthday. They wanted the back of a Penguins Jersey with their last name and "50" on it. This is certainly one of my favorite cakes yet. I love how the numbers turned out and I think the stitching details look awesome. Clean and simple- my kind of cake!

Save The Date Cookie

I have loved this idea for a long time. Finally had enough spare dough/free time to make a tester cookie. These would be such cute favors at an engagement party, or really fun to actually get in the mail from an engaged couple! They would also be cute place cards at a birthday party or other event where the date was important! (Anniversary maybe?) Cute!
